My comments focus primarily on MP.What I Love:1 The space environment is HUGE! It is exhilirating to zoom past Imperial Star Destroyers, dodging turbo laser blasts. Needless to say, your frustration level will likely get high after trying to conquer Hoth (the last and toughest.įirst of all, let me say I LOVED the first Battlefront, especially the multi-player. My major complaint is that the missions vary wildly in difficulty, from those which should be easily finished by casual gamers to others that will require as many as 10-20 attempts to complete for even a serious gamer. Overall, the campaign is well put together and should last 15-20 hours.

It's an intense, nearly perfect rendition of the movie scene, with Vader and his army of stormtroopers entering the captured ship through a hole blasted in its hull and battling it out with rebels. For example, the best mission of the campaign was a reenactment of the capture and invasion of Princess Leia's ship, as seen at the beginnning of Episode IV. Over the course of about 16 missions, you'll go from classic location to location, fighting against rebels, Wookies, droid armies, Jedi, and others as you tighten the emperor's grasp upon the galaxy. The single-player campaign focuses on Darth Vader's unit, the 501st squad of Clone troopers seen in the most recent Star Wars movies. For the most part, it pulls this off credibly.Gameplay: This game is primarily a first-person shooter, although it includes some simple flight simulation and strategic gameplay. This is a very ambitious game that tries to include nearly everything in the Star Wars universe-from Jedis and high-tech weapons to space battles and land invasions-in a single package.

This wouldn't be too much of a problem, except that from what I understand, he can't save whenever he wants, but only at certain points in the game.FYI, we have Windows XP Home Edition and our computer meets or exceeds all the specifications on the game for system requirements. We finally reduced the problem to an acceptable level (from my son's point of view) by entering the game's options menu and reducing the video resolution to lower and lower levels.

We have tried download fixes from Microsoft and LucasArts to no avail. From searching on the web, we have found that plenty of others have problems with this game freezing during the middle of play. We have an upgraded NVIDIA GForce video card, so that is not the issue. This is his favorite, but unfortunately it is also the most unstable. Star Wars Battlefront II for PSP is designed to embrace the “on-the-go” nature of handheld gaming with three separate campaigns, each telling the story from a different viewpoint, be it Rebel, Imperial or mercenary for hire. In addition to the three tours of duty, Instant Action provides player with quick battles on over 12 maps, including Mustafar, Hoth, Dagobah, and the space battle above Coruscant. In addition to the rebel, clone, and droid warriors from the original game, you can play as a Jedi, complete with lightsaber attacks and force powers. This sequel to Star Wars Battlefront improves upon its predecessor with a variety of gameplay enhancements, such as upgraded AI, more than 16 new battlegrounds, and greater story emphasis. It’s the cartridge / disc only unless otherwise specified. But Battlefront 2 is a game a Star Wars fan will enjoy but I don't recommend it much to other people.The game is fully tested & guaranteed to work. THe graphics in the game are pretty bad as well as the sound and AI. The ad hoc in Battlefront is that great up to 6 players fighting each other. In instant action you just choose a battle, which war, and the game type (ctf, hunt, conquest, etc.). The mini games are just games where you kill as many people as you can or capture something.

There's also an instant action mode as well as 3 special created mini games for the PSP. The money you earn from battles you can by special cards for abilities in battles or more fleets. The objective is to just conquer the enemy. You must move your fleet into the enemy's or their planet and you engage in a battle or dogfight.

You start out with 2 planets always and the enemy have the rest. The campaign as I said was short you just play as either one of the 4 factions. There's a very short campaign and small ad hoc multi player, but it's still pretty fun game to play with. Star Wars: Battlefront II isn't much of a game that had effort put into it for the PSP.
